Navigating CBAM for Indian Exporters is a virtual industry webinar scheduled for 25 May 2026, organized by Ploxi and co-organized by SEPC and MEAI. The webinar aims to help Indian exporters understand the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and prepare for upcoming compliance requirements. It will cover CBAM regulations and timelines, emissions reporting, compliance processes, decarbonization strategies, and sector-specific impacts on industries such as steel, aluminium, chemicals, and manufacturing. The session is designed for exporters, sustainability professionals, compliance teams, and businesses supplying to EU markets.
The ICAO ESAF/WACAF & EASA SAF Workshop highlighted the accelerating momentum around Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) across the African aviation sector. Bringing together regulators, civil aviation authorities, industry stakeholders, financiers, technical experts, and project developers, the event created an important platform to move the conversation from ambition to implementation. With more than 80 on-site participants in Kigali, Rwanda and over 300 online participants from across the continent, the strong engagement underlined both the strategic relevance of SAF for Africa and the growing focus on creating commercially viable and scalable projects.
Organised by the Department of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur, ICAST 2026 brings together researchers, academics and industry professionals to explore solutions across green hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuels, critical minerals, circular economy and AI-driven process technologies. The programme features keynote addresses, oral and poster presentations, panel discussions and industry exhibitions.
This session about "Scaling SAF in Africa: Technology choices, regional DSL overview and key required action" brings together project developers and civil aviation authorities from Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Kenya to share concrete, on-the-ground experience – from technology and feedstock choices to commercial structuring, to the government support needed to move projects from concept to reality. The discussion will close with AFCAC's perspective on regional coordination and the key actions needed to scale SAF across the continent.
SPECTARIS, the industry association representing Consumer Optics, Photonics, Medical Technology and Analytical, Bio- and Laboratory Technology, invites members and industry guests to Berlin for its annual event under the theme "Transformation & Wachstumspfade." Following the association's general assembly, the Zukunftsfestival unfolds in the historic pool hall of Hotel Oderberger in Prenzlauer Berg, offering inspiring talks. The programme turns around the forces reshaping our industries — from AI-driven leadership and shifting international markets to breakthroughs in AR optics — as a foundation for lasting growth.
Bringing together participants of 16 African countries, the workshop was delivered by CBR as the lead trainer, providing expert guidance through theory sessions, facilitated discussions and the "Create Your SAF Case" simulator. Participants explored sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) feedstocks, certification requirements, Direct Supply Lines, technology pathways, financing mechanisms and policy frameworks. Working in groups, they developed country-specific SAF cases, supply chain maps, while identifying key takeaways and priority considerations for advancing SAF deployment within their respective countries.
Organised by the SAF Association (SAFA) India at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the 2nd India SAF Conclave & Awards brings together policymakers, airlines, refiners, technology providers, investors and certification bodies from across the SAF value chain. Under the theme “Powering the SAF Transition”, the conclave focuses on how India can turn its feedstock, technology and policy momentum into bankable, commercial-scale SAF capacity, with a national SAF policy now on the horizon.
For ten years, the MDR Forum Rhineland-Palatinate has brought together manufacturers, start-ups, research and authorities to shape the future of medical device regulation. The anniversary edition at the Landesmuseum Mainz, held on site and via livestream, focuses on the evolution of the MDR and IVDR, EUDAMED and the use of AI in regulatory affairs and quality management. At its heart is the competitiveness of European medtech.
Hydrogen Technology World Expo returns to Hamburg Messe from 20 to 22 October 2026. As one of the world’s leading hydrogen trade fairs and conferences, it brings together more than 1,000 exhibitors, over 200 speakers and some 20,000 attendees. The programme spans the entire value chain – from production, infrastructure and storage to fuel cells, mobility and hydrogen derivatives.
Held in New Delhi, IGHA–Hyvolution India is the country’s leading conference and exhibition for green hydrogen. Co-organised by GH2 India and GL events, it brings together buyers and suppliers across production, storage, infrastructure and industrial applications. A strategic and a technical conference track cover policy and investment as well as the engineering realities of scale-up, supporting India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
LIGNOFUELS is an annual high-level conference bringing together senior representatives from across the lignocellulosic and advanced fuels value chain. The 2027 edition focuses on the practical conditions required to move the next wave of projects towards commercial scale, including feedstock supply, technology deployment, project finance, regulatory certainty, offtake and market development.

Sustainability ambitions in MedTech are increasingly linked to the use of alternative and circular materials. However, their application raises critical questions around material safety, regulatory compliance and long-term risk.
At CBR, we are particularly interested in how these developments impact biocompatibility and toxicological assessment. As sustainability moves beyond design and sourcing, it is becoming a key challenge for safety evaluation and risk management.
This event provides a relevant platform to explore which questions, risks and regulatory considerations are emerging around recycled materials in medical devices – and how biocompatibility expertise can enable safe and compliant circular solutions.

The workshop demonstrated how complex SAF concepts can be translated into practical, country-specific project strategies. The most strategically relevant topics were Direct Supply Line development, certification readiness and project bankability — three areas that frequently determine whether SAF potential becomes an investable project. CBR’s contribution as part of the training team strengthened its position in applied SAF capacity building and thought leadership, while generating valuable insights into the priorities and challenges faced by African aviation authorities. The training also helped shape an outlook for each participating country, covering SAF feasibility, policy development, supply-chain structuring and investment readiness.

India has the feedstock, technologies and policy momentum to become a global SAF hub. The key question is how quickly this potential can be turned into bankable, commercial-scale capacity. For CBR, the conclave is a valuable platform to exchange with stakeholders across the value chain on what it takes to get there.
From our work on SAF feasibility studies and project development worldwide, we see that markets scale when feedstock, technology, regulation, infrastructure and finance are developed in step rather than in sequence. With CORSIA entering its second phase in 2027, carbon market frameworks are also becoming an opportunity rather than merely a compliance exercise.
Our Technology Expert Nipun Jagtap represents CBR at the conclave and takes part in the India Bioeconomy Growth Roundtable, hosted by S&P Global and the SAF Association. The roundtable focuses on credible mechanisms to generate, certify and finance high-integrity emission reductions.

AI is fundamentally changing conformity assessment: notified bodies increasingly review technical documentation with AI support and detect every inconsistency, raising the quality bar for manufacturers. At the same time, this creates a strategic lever: data from MDR and IVDR documentation can feed directly into the PPWR and future environmental requirements via a shared digital compliance platform, avoiding redundancy and strengthening sustainability performance.
Andreas Egloff, Project Manager Medtech & Life Sciences, combines several years of experience in MDR implementation, qualification and validation with an MBA in Sustainability Management. In his deep dive on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), he shows which requirements genuinely apply to medtech packaging, how they interact with product safety, hygiene and functionality, and what manufacturers should prepare for in the coming years.

For CBR, LIGNOFUELS provides a valuable forum for exchanging perspectives with experts and experienced practitioners on how advanced-fuel projects can be developed successfully. Key interests include aligning regulation with engineering and operational realities, strengthening the focus on actual GHG outcomes and creating the long-term investment certainty needed to finance first-of-a-kind projects.
CBR’s Senior Technology Expert, Dr Georg Markowz, will attend Lignofuels for the third time since 2018 and speak on how regulatory design affects the financing of advanced-fuel projects. His presentation will examine technology-neutral GHG regulation, alignment with project realities and opportunities arising from current EU fuel-policy reviews.
