European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)
Quickly set up the required infrastructure to comply with EUDR specifications on deforestation-free supply chains to protect biodiversity.
All non-SME operators and traders who place, make available or export the following seven commodities on the EU market – soy, palm oil, wood, coffee, cocoa, cattle, and rubber (as well as their derived products) – are affected by this European regulation. These companies must comply with the EUDR, which requires fulfilling various due diligence obligations to reduce global deforestation and protect pristine forests. Operators and traders must be able to prove that the products do not originate from recently deforested land or have contributed to forest degradation.
Derived products are also of great importance, as they can include a variety of items, significantly impacting the scope of affected companies. The EUDR took effect on 29 June 2023, marking a significant milestone in global forest protection.
Since all affected companies must be EUDR compliant by 30 December 2024, preparation needs to start now.
